ALYSSA DEBRA

Alyssa Debra is an MD-PhD candidate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics whose research focuses on adolescent mental health, sexual and reproductive health, intimate partner violence, family communication, and HIV/STI prevention in African and Black communities. Her work seeks to understand the social and behavioral factors that influence health outcomes among youth and to develop community-informed interventions that promote sexual and mental well-being and resilience. She has extensive experience conducting mixed-methods research in the United States and South Africa.
